Smoky Hill River Water Ceremony

Smoky Hill River Water Ceremony

Join Friends of the River for a Water Ceremony to pay tribute to the vital role of the Smoky Hill River in our community's health and well-being. This event will be held on Sunday, April 30 at 1 pm by the Fourth Street bridge in Oakdale Park. Notable participants in the ceremony include Dr. Jampa Yonten, a traditional Tibetan physician, Terri Levin, an Apache healer, and Jonathan Chack. The ceremony will encompass various rituals, including Tibetan prayer, an Apache smudging ritual, and an Icaro, a South American medicine song. This group is a guest of Willow Leenders from Peaceful Body Wellness Retreat. Come and honor the significance of water and the Smoky Hill River with us.
