Kansas Wesleyan brought home several event wins and Top 5 finishes, along with a couple NAIA National Qualifiers all in a day's work at the Concordia Classic inside Concordia University's Bulldog Fieldhouse on Saturday.
The Coyotes had two NAIA Automatic qualifying marks in the 1000m as Carter Huyser won the event with a time of 2:97.97, and Julian Avila finished third with a time of 2:30.94.
Joni Schroeder won the women's mile run with a time of 5:20.39, Shelby Lingle was fifth in 5:32.49.
Brenden Ellis won the men's mile with a time of 4:37.48, Zack Tibbits was fourth in 4:41.17, Tytus Reed was fifth in 4:42.11, Jack Horacek was seventh in 4:45.24, and Roman Mai was 13th in 4:52.88.
Madisyn Ehrlich won the 3000m with a time of 10:44.64. Josie Koppes finished third in 10:53.14, Kierra Jensen was fourth in 11:03.80, Charlee Lind was seventh in 11:15.05 and Alayna Behrman was 14th in 11:49.69.
Wyatt Johnson finished second in the 800m with a time of 2:00.04, Triston Cottone was seventh in 2:02.25, and Nicolas Martinez was 10th in 2:04.15.
Madisyn Ehrlich finished third in the 1000m with a time of 3:07.34, Josie Koppes was fourth in 3:08.88, Joni Schroeder was fifth in 3:15.39, Shelby Lingle was seventh in 3:16.47, and Allyson Taylor was 16th in 3:29.37.
Also in the 1000m, Giovanni Rios finished fourth in 2:33.84, Ty Davidson finished fifth in 2:35.18, Ian Doss finished seventh in 2:38.37, Tytus Reed finished 14th in 2:46.32, Brenden Ellis finished 16th in 2:49.70, and Roman Mai finished 22nd in 2:58.62.
Damion Jackson was fourth in the 3000m with a time of 8:47.49, Jake Cruz was 10th in 8:57:07, Austin Hess was 11th in 8:58.67, Shane Calvin was 16th in 9:11.66, Giovanni Rios was 20th in 9:18.01, Cisco Alvarez was 22nd in 9:25.79, Ian Doss wasa 27th in 9:30.35, Jack Horacek was 33rd in 9:43.48 and Zack Tibbits was 38th in 9:48.03, Brodie Bradshaw was 45th in 10:06.68.
Keegan Lott finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 14.64m, Dylan Worrell was eighth in 14.26m, Simeon Faagai was 12th with a mark of 12.50m and Keyon Baccus was 13th with a mark of 12.49m.
The women's 4x400m relay team of Joni Schroeder, Shelby Lingle, Allyson Taylor and Hallie West finished sixth with a time of 4:27.45.
The men had three teams in the 4x400m relay led by a sixth place finish by the group of Zamari Burrell, Julian Avila, Carter Huyser and Wyatt Johnson in 3:32.93. The team of Riley Garcia, Ty Davidson, Triston Cottone and Nicolas Martinez finished seventh in 3:36.12 and the team of Brenden Ellis, Tytus Reed, Roman Mai and Brodie Bradshaw finished ninth in 3:45.93.
Elizabeth Stout finished eighth in the shot put with a mark of 11.88m.
Zamari Burrell finished ninth in the 200m with a time of 23.34, Tyler Fontenot was 12th in 24.07, Riley Garcia was 16th in 24.18, DeJaylon Beal was 19th in 24.30 and James Preston was 23rd in 24.48.
Yamyle Ramirez finished 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 10.11m, Julie Rottinghaus was 12th with a mark of 9.84m and Dahn Hanlon was 14th with a mark of 9.51m.
Keegan Lott was 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 14.24m and Simeon Faagai was 12th with a mark of 13.98m.
Zamari Burrell finished 11th in the 60m preliminaries with a time of 7.24 seconds, Tyler Fontenot was 18th with a time of 7.41 seconds, and Riley Garcia was 23rd with a time of 7.51 seconds.
James Preston finished 12th in the long jump with a mark of 6.20m.
Julie Rottinghaus finished 13th in the 60m preliminaries with a time of 8.36 seconds.
Yamyle Ramirez was 16th in the 400m dash in 69.28 seconds.
Julie Rottinghaus finished 17th in the long jump with a mark of 4.92m, Yamyle Ramirez was 21st with a mark of 4.76m, and Dahn Hanlon was 24th with a mark of 4.56m.
Elizabeth Stout finished 19th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.96m.
DeJaylon Beal was 23rd in the 400m with a time of 58.42 seconds.
Julie Rottinghaus finished 26th in the 200m dash with a time of 28.46 seconds and Hallie West finished 39th with a time of 30.45 seconds.
Next up for the Coyotes will be a return to Topeka and the Washburn Open on Friday and Saturday.
