This afternoon, U.S. Senator Jerry Moran made a stop at the Salina Fire Department, engaging in discussions with SFD officers on federal legislative matters. Although the visit was informal, it provided an opportunity for local fire department representatives to address pertinent issues with the Senator.

Accompanied by Division Chief/Fire Marshal Joe Kvacik, Division Chief of Training Drew Sprague, and Deputy Chief Shane Pearson, Senator Moran received a tour of Fire Station 1. Among the highlights was the inspection of the meticulously maintained 1928 Arhens-Fox fire engine.
