The Salina Police Department is warning residents about ongoing scam calls and text messages falsely claiming to be from either the Salina Police Department or the Salina Municipal Court. These fraudulent messages attempt to scare individuals by threatening legal action for missed court dates or unpaid fines, and then demanding immediate payment.
Please be advised:
Neither the Salina Police Department nor the Salina Municipal Court contacts individuals by phone or text to collect fines. Any legitimate communication about fines or court matters will be sent through official and documented channels, such as mailed notices.

- Do not respond to any suspicious calls or messages demanding payment.
- Do not click on any links or share personal information.
- Hang up immediately if you receive one of these calls.
- Report suspicious messages to the Salina Police Department’s non-emergency number.
