Saline County residents are encouraged to participate in the upcoming bi-annual drug take back day, hosted by the Saline County Sheriff's Office. On Saturday, October 28, between 10 am and 2 pm, individuals can conveniently drop off their prescription medications at designated locations, including Dillons on Cloud and Walmart.
This event is made possible through a collaborative effort between the Sheriff's Office and local authorities to ensure the secure disposal of prescription drugs. All collected medications will be responsibly buried at the landfill, providing an environmentally friendly solution for their disposal. This initiative has seen significant success since its inception in 2013, with over 13,000 pounds of prescription drugs being safely discarded.
