At 1:36 pm, Saline County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residential fire in the 1500 block of North Hedville Road. Upon arrival, deputies found a shed fully engulfed in flames, though the nearby house remained unharmed.

The owner, Eric Wolf, was not home at the time. Wolf later informed deputies that he had burned a brush pile last Thursday and believes the fire rekindled due to wind and dry conditions, leading to the shed fire.

The 40x15 ft metal shed, which contained minimal items, was completely destroyed, resulting in approximately $10,000 in damage. Rural Fire Districts 3 and 7 responded to the scene.
