Saline County House Fire Causes Significant Damage

On June 14 at 9:03 pm, Saline County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a residence on fire at 7297 West Railroad Avenue. The homeowners, who were at a neighbor's house, were alerted to the blaze when someone noticed smoke coming from their home. According to the owner, the fire caused extensive damage estimated at $250,000.

The house, owned by Margaret McAdams, was under construction and contained equipment and materials for remodeling. Rural Fire Districts 3, 6, and 7 responded to the scene. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
