Marina King, Saline County's GIS Analyst, and her softball team Circus Act 2.0 are making history after winning the USSSA Crown Town event in Kansas City.
The victory earned them the opportunity to represent the Midwest division of the United States at the Global Games/European Expansion in Barcelona, Spain, in March 2026.
Circus Act 2.0 will be the first Kansas team ever to compete at this global level, joining just six other women's teams from across the nation at the event.
"We are extremely honored and privileged to have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play on a global level," King said. "I couldn't imagine walking onto that field, at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, with any other group of ladies. We are more than a team, we are family."
