Election Day Updates

Election day is Today, Nov. 4, 2025. Below is a concise guide to what to expect, how to vote, and the post-election schedule.

What you’ll see

A sample ballot is available showing local contests, including the City Commission and USD 305 school board races, along with instructions on how to mark your ballot. If you need your exact ballot, request the sample ballot for your address from the Saline County election office website.

Election day logistics

  • Date: Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
  • Polling hours: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • If you make a mistake: Return the ballot to an election worker and request a replacement.
  • If you are sick or disabled: Ballots may be carried out, but must be returned by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Advance voting and deadlines

  • Advance ballots began mailing: Oct. 15, 2025.
  • In-office advance voting began: Oct. 20, 2025.
  • Last day to request an advance ballot by mail: Oct. 28, 2025.
  • Advance voting in office, final days: Saturday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Monday, Nov. 3, through noon.
  • Mailing notes: If you use the mail, follow the election office’s instructions for postmark and receipt deadlines.

Post-election schedule and procedures

  • Post-election audit: Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, 9:00 a.m.
  • Canvass: Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, 9:00 a.m.
  • Deadline to request a recount: Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, 5:00 p.m.
  • Results certification and public equipment test: Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, 9:00 a.m.

  • Central Kansas Extension District #3 Board (vote for 2 or fewer)
    Candidates include Denise Stein, Amber Fouard, and Rachelle O’Connor, plus write-in options.
