Press Release from Saline County Treasurer, Jim Dubois:
On November 7th the Treasurer’s Office received several calls and visitations from people inquiring why the Driver’s License Office in Salina was closed and that there was a sign directing them to other Drivers License Offices. We explained that the Driver’s License Office in Salina was run by the state and that we had no association with them. I did make contact with the Kansas Department of Revenue who said that they are working on the issue and would keep us updated. In return I informed the state that we would let our staff know what was going on and would post signs at both the main and Satellite tag offices. I was informed late Wednesday that the Drivers License Office issues have been resolved and would open on Thursday the 9th. I was never informed of what the issue was.
