Saline County Commissioners have completed their final review of the proposed 2026 county budget before its publication and upcoming public hearing scheduled for September 9.
The proposed mill levy now stands at 40.167, down from the initially recommended 41.571. This reduction comes after multiple study sessions and revisions that have been ongoing since May.
Today's review represented the final opportunity for commissioners to make changes before the budget's publication, which must occur at least 10 days before its formal adoption.
