Saline County Commission Approves Broadband Community Assessment Study

During the April 2, 2024 County Commission meeting, a request for action was made by the Administration Department regarding a broadband community assessment study. Proposals were received from Design Nine Broadband Planners at $48,000 and Essentia at $169,580. After a review by a committee consisting of local leaders, Design Nine Broadband Planners was recommended for the project. The Commission approved the proposal, utilizing American Rescue Plan Act funds totaling $51,599. This initiative aims to ensure equitable and reliable access to broadband internet service for all Saline County residents.
