Salina311 is excited to announce the return of Salina's Choice ❤️, our community-driven way to recognize the exceptional businesses that make Salina special. We've completely reimagined the program to make it simpler, fairer, and more authentic than ever before.
Here's How the New Salina's Choice ❤️ Works:
Gone are the complicated nomination periods and voting windows. Instead, we've created an ongoing system where your voice matters every day:
- Any business can be registered in our directory – completely free. Many local businesses have already been added.
- Show your love year-round by simply clicking the heart icon next to your favorite local businesses. It's that easy!
- Annual recognition – We'll announce Salina's Choice winners each September based on the number of hearts they receive over the previous 12 months.
- One person, one heart – Every registered user gets exactly one heart per business. No gaming the system, no duplicate votes, no shenanigans that plague other "best of" programs.
- Completely free for everyone – Unlike traditional "best of" contests that only include the businesses who pay for recognition, Salina's Choice is earned purely through community support.
Why This Matters:
Traditional "best of" programs often require winners to pay for their recognition, which doesn't necessarily mean they're actually the best – just that they can afford the fee (and want to pay).
