In a remarkable display of talent, students from the Salina Youth Symphony Program showcased their musical prowess at the recent KASTA State Solo Competition, held during the Kansas Music Educators Association convention. Michelle Wang, a member of the Youth String Ensemble, emerged as the victor in the Preparatory Division for her stellar performance on the violin. Additionally, Susanna Beckman, representing the Salina Youth Symphony, earned recognition with an Honorable Mention in the Junior Division for her captivating cello performance.
