SALINA, KS — The Salina Family YMCA is inviting the community to its annual Healthy Kids Day® on Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Sponsored nationally by Peanuts, this free event is designed to help families kick off the school year strong with fun, educational, and health-focused activities for all ages.
“At the Y, we believe in providing resources to families to ensure that their children have access to what they need to reach their full potential,” said Marti Higdon, Sr. Director of Community Outreach. “Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free, community-wide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great resources that the Y and our community have to offer.”
This year’s Healthy Kids Day will feature:
- Open swim
- Open gymnastics
- Shoe drive and giveaway
- Raffle prizes
- Free community lunch
- Games and activities hosted by local vendors and partners
