Kick off the Salina Symphony season with Fiddle Fusion: Chamber Music in the Courtyard Sat., Sept. 27, at 4 p.m. at the Homewood Suites in Downtown Salina.
Enjoy the timeless beauty of a Mozart string quartet alongside the modern brilliance of Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte. Then, kick up your heels to a lively set of traditional Scottish fiddle tunes featuring Meredith Hopkins. This concert is sure to be a good ol’ time—music, sunshine, and plenty of toe-tapping!
Guest Artist – Meredith Hopkins, fiddle
A decorated performer who claimed first place in the 2018 U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Competition, Hopkins has performed across the U.S., Canada, and Scotland. She holds a bachelor’s in violin performance from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and a master’s in Scottish Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.
