Salina Shares recently celebrated National Random Acts of Kindness Day with great enthusiasm. The day was marked by embarking on a Kindness Adventure, reminiscent of how Salina Shares began and remains one of the community's favorite activities.
Kindness was demonstrated in various ways, reminding everyone that it doesn't have to come with a hefty price tag. Whether it was giving a heartfelt compliment, performing a favor without prompting, or donating extra books to one of the Little Libraries in town, the spirit of kindness prevailed. Indeed, the sentiment echoed throughout the day was that kindness is something one will never regret.
The morning was filled with joy as twelve individuals, split among four cars, traversed the town, spreading goodwill. Encouragement, winter attire, snacks, laundry products, and various other tokens of kindness were shared wherever they went. Coins were placed in Aldiβs carts, dollar bills hidden in Dollar Tree items, and Blessing Boxes were filled with essentials. Additionally, hats, scarves, and gloves were hung at parks and bus stops, among many other gestures.
