On August 19, 2024, officers responded to a report of a stolen white Kia Optima from the parking lot of CVS at 681 S Ohio St. The vehicle was reported stolen around 2:30 PM. Approximately 30 minutes later, the Kia was located near Lakewood Park with its back window smashed and the ignition punched.
Later that evening, around 7:20 PM, officers responded to an attempted theft of a gray Hyundai Elantra in the 900 block of E Ash St. The vehicle’s back passenger side window was broken, and the steering column was damaged.
The male suspect pictured below is believed to be involved in the theft of the white Kia Optima from CVS.
