Salina Man Charged with Burglary and Theft After Allegedly Stealing Roommate's Belongings

A burglary occurred in the 2100 block of East Crawford Street on Monday, April 22nd, just after 6:00 pm. The victim, a 33-year-old man renting a room from Walter Shields, reported that upon returning home, he found the lock changed and several items missing, including electronics and jewelry valued at $5,508. Subsequently, the missing items were discovered in the roommate's room. The 51-year-old roommate was charged with burglary and theft. Investigations are ongoing to recover all stolen items.
