Salina Man Arrested in Connection to Fentanyl Death

On May 10, 2023, Officers were sent to the 1500 block of Winona for an individual who had possibly overdosed.

Officers located a 25-year-old female victim who was declared deceased on scene. Detectives have been investigating the death. Autopsy results showed the cause of death was a fentanyl and methamphetamine overdose.

As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Paul Converse was arrested on July 31 for his alleged involvement in the death. Paul was charged with the following requested charges:

  • Distribution of a Controlled Substance Causing Great Bodily Harm or Death
  • Distribution of Fentanyl
  • Distribution of Methamphetamine
  • No Drug Tax Stamp
  • Criminal Use of Weapons
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
