Christian Lasso Olivas - Saline County Booking

On July 6 at 7:00 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Cloud Circle for a domestic disturbance. A 21-year-old woman with bloodstains on her shirt reported that Christian Lasso Olivas, 20, of Salina, had assaulted her.

During an argument, he became upset with her and yelled at her. He reportedly got on top of her and strangled her. Olivas told her he was going to kill her and her family. The female victim managed to temporarily get him off of her.

According to the victim, he dragged her to another room in house, shoved her on a bed, struck her in the face, and strangled her again. He continued to threaten her by saying he was going to kill her and her family. She attempted to get away, but Olivas allegedly put a pillow on her head and forced her to stay on the bed.

As she was bleeding, she asked him if she could clean up the blood. He said no, but she got away from him. She was able to escape to the kitchen when she grabbed a knife to attempt to protect herself. He had taken her phone and wouldn’t give it back to her. Olivas reached for the knife, but suffered a small cut on his hand from the knife and dropped the victim's phone. She was able to grab the phone and call 911. The police arrived shortly after, and took Olivas into custody.

The woman was taken to the hospital with a bloody nose, scratches, and a sore throat. Olivas was arrested and has requested charges of attempted voluntary manslaughter, three counts of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated kidnapping, criminal threat, domestic battery, and criminal deprivation of property.
