Salina Man Arrested Following Series of Incidents, Including DUI and Hit-and-Run
Julius Eagle Feather Johnson - Saline County Booking

On August 10, 2024, at approximately 7:30 pm, police were dispatched to the 400 block of Baker Street for a reported hit-and-run incident. The owner of a 2009 Ford Fusion discovered her parked and unoccupied vehicle had been struck by a silver 2008 Lincoln MKX SUV. The vehicle was identified through multiple Ring cameras in the area, and its license plate was traced.

At 8:00 pm, officers were called to Salina Regional Health Center (SRHC) for an active disturbance and road rage incident. Two Salina men, aged 59 and 39, reported the driver of a Lincoln SUV had aggressively followed them on Santa Fe Avenue, with the driver exiting his vehicle multiple times and threatening to fight them at the hospital before leaving the scene.

Shortly after, officers responded to a theft report at Casey's at 9th and Crawford. The suspect was reported to be in a Lincoln SUV. Officers located the vehicle and attempt to stop the driver of the vehicle. The driver continued, failing to yield to the police officer, and finally stopped at Santa Fe and Prescott. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Julius Eagle Feather Johnson of Salina, reportedly failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.

Johnson faces multiple charges, including DUI, theft (for stealing Twisted Tea and several packages of beef jerky from Caseyโ€™s), failure to stop for police, no driverโ€™s license, no insurance, failure to report an accident, disorderly conduct, open container, and improper turn.
