On Wednesday, October 11, at 1:20 pm, a woman arrived at the ER, reportedly looking like she had been beat up. She had drove to the ER, parked her vehicle out front, and then her male passenger got out and took off running.
The two had been in the 1500 block of W Old 40, driving to Salina. The male had become upset with her, and allegedly beaten her up. The female drove herself to the ER. The male was unable to be located yesterday.
On Thursday, October 12, Deputies received a report that the subject was possibly in the 100 block of N 8th. He was allegedly found hiding in a trash can. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, where Deputies allegedly found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The subject, identified as 22-year-old Rylan Whitmer, was arrested on the following requested charges:
- Aggravated Battery
- Intimidation of a Witness
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
