Salina Man Arrested After Unwanted Physical Advances Towards Female McDonald's Employee
On March 14, between 7:00 pm and 7:14 pm, an incident unfolded at McDonald's on Planet Avenue in Salina. Aaron Werner, a 41-year-old male, caused a disturbance after spending several hours inside the restaurant.
He targeted a 20-year-old female employee, attempting to engage her in conversation and making unwanted physical advances, including grabbing and kissing her hand. Management intervened, prompting Werner to become disorderly and belligerent as he was told to leave.
The Salina Police Department swiftly responded to the scene after being contacted by management. Officers located Werner standing outside across the street from McDonald's. They arrested the suspect, and also discovered a vape pen and THC during a search. Captain David Villanueva, SPD, emphasized the unacceptable nature of the unwanted contact, leading to Werner's arrest on requested charges including battery, disorderly conduct, interference, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
