Salina Man Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Into Salvation Army

Salina Police were dispatched to Salvation Army, 1137, for a burglary in progress on Friday, December 17 at 8:30 pm.

When officers arrived, they reportedly saw the doors on the east side of the building shattered out. At that same time, the suspect later identified as 60-year-old Salina resident Michael Fagen, was allegedly exiting the glass doors.

A witness reportedly said that they saw Fagen break the glass doors and then enter the building. He then told SPD that he observed Fagen exit the doors with a fire extinguisher, and break the rest of the glass out of the doors. Fagen was also reportedly observed discharging the fire extinguisher inside the building.

Damage to the doors is estimated at $2,000.

Michael Fagen was arrested on the following requested charges:

  • Burglary
  • Felony Damage to Property
