Salina City Commission Approves Resolution in Support of South View Estates' Housing Development Tax Credit Application
The Salina City Commission has passed Resolution No. 24-8206 in support of South View Estates' application for the Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credits (KHITC). This resolution is a response to the ongoing housing crisis, acknowledging the rising demand and limited resources in the housing market.
The KHITC program, administered by the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC), provides tax incentives for housing investors to alleviate the housing shortage. South View Estates, LLC, seeks to apply for tax credits for the construction of 32 homes in Phase 3 of their development. The commission's resolution of support facilitates South View Estates' application process and does not entail any financial obligations from the city.
With the resolution passed, South View Estates can proceed with their KHITC application, contributing to the city's efforts to address the housing needs of Salina residents.
