The Salina Central Mustangs opened their wrestling season on Thursday night with a tough matchup against the Maize Eagles. Both the girls and boys teams battled hard in their first dual of the year but came up short against a strong Maize lineup. Central now turns its attention to this weekends tournaments as the wrestlers look to build momentum and capitalize on the lessons learned from the opener. Varsity boys will travel to Gardner Edgerton High School for their tournament. Varsity girls will travel to McPherson. JV boys will head to South High School.
