Rolling Hills Zoo invites you to unleash your creativity and support wildlife conservation at their upcoming Party for the Planet celebration on Saturday, April 20th. Get ready for the Wildly Reclaimed: Eco-Art Safari, an exciting recycled art contest where art meets environmental consciousness.
Participants are encouraged to showcase their finest eco-friendly masterpieces, incorporating at least 50% recycled or repurposed materials. Join RHZ in promoting sustainability while expressing your artistic talents.
Age categories for participants are as follows:
- Children: Ages 12 & Under
- Youth: Ages 13 - 18
- Adults: Ages 19 - 64
- Seniors: Ages 65+
Before submitting your artwork, ensure the following information is clearly listed on the back:
- Name of the artwork
- Artist's name
- Artist's age
- Phone number
- Email address
Submission deadline is 3 pm on Thursday, April 18. Drop off your entries at Rolling Hills Zoo to be part of this eco-conscious initiative.
During the Party for the Planet event, on April 20, all zoo visitors will have the chance to vote for their favorite artwork by using coins or dollar bills. Each cent equals one vote. All proceeds from the voting will be donated to a wildlife conservation organization.
In addition to the satisfaction of contributing to conservation efforts, winners in each age group will receive unique animal encounters. Prizes range from Ambassador Animal Encounters for children and youth to Animal Encounters for adults and seniors.
Art pieces can be collected from April 21 to April 27, between 9 am and 5 pm. Please ensure all pieces are picked up by April 27.
