On August 25, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a robbery occurred in front of Ad Astra, located at 141 North Santa Fe Avenue. A male victim reported that during an argument with a known female, Brittany Ardis, age 30, she forcibly removed a $10 necklace from his neck. Although he initially retrieved and put the necklace back on, Ardis grabbed it again and left the scene with the necklace.
A witness confirmed the victim's account. Officers later located Ardis and found the stolen necklace in her backpack. She was taken into custody. Ardis faces charges of robbery and domestic battery.
