River Fest is 34 Hours Away

Oakdale Park in Central Salina is once again being transformed into the grand event that we all know and love.

Smoky Hill River Festival is so close that most of us can taste the funnel cake, buttered corn cobs, fried candy bars, alligator on a stick, and other delectable treats.

But, until 4pm on Thursday when gates open for Festival Jam, we'll have to imagine the sites, sounds, and tastes that will tickle our entertainment senses.

Festival crew have been busy all week prepping Oakdale Park for the tens of thousands of wristband wearing guests that are sure to make this Festival the biggest yet.

Tents are set up, the sidewalks are painted.

Trash cans have been made festive, and picnic tables are ready to be distributed throughout the park.

If you look real hard, you'll even find Brad Anderson, Director of Arts & Humanities, in the mix.

After all, it's all hands on deck to make sure this is the best River Festival ever.

With the dedication of an awesome Arts & Humanities department, and the support of thousands of River Fest patrons, that goal has already been achieved.
