Two Motorcyclists Allegedly Engaged in Dangerous Maneuvers; One Collides with Another in Parking Lot

A motorcycle accident occurred on Thursday, June 29, at the East Crawford Recreation Area, located at 1800 S Markley Rd, just south of Deans Evans Stadium. According to eyewitnesses, two motorcycles were reportedly seen driving recklessly, performing wheelies, driving in excess speed, and doing donuts. The incident escalated when one motorcycle collided with the other.

The primary motorcycle, a blue 2006 Suzuki ridden by a 27-year-old Salina man, was involved in the collision. The second motorcycle, a green 2023 Kawasaki Ninja, was operated by a 34-year-old man from Salina. Both riders were driving through the parking lot when the driver of the Kawasaki allegedly turned in front of the Suzuki, resulting in the collision.

As a result of the accident, both riders sustained injuries. The driver of the Suzuki, whose injuries were non-life threatening, was transported to SRHC for medical attention. Both drivers have been cited for reckless driving. The driver of the Suzuki received an additional citation for no proof of insurance.
