A parked vehicle was hit in an overnight DUI in south Salina.
Captain Forrester says that the incident occurred at 4:15 am on Thursday, April 20 in the 2100 block of Wesley. A 1997 Cadillac Catera was allegedly being driven southbound by 20-year-old Jaymie Hicks. Hicks allegedly struck a parked 2001 Chevy Tahoe parked in the street, hitting it hard enough to push it up into the yard.
The Cadillac had heavy front end damage and was towed from the scene. Hicks has the following requested charges:
- DUI
- Transporting open container
- Inattentive driving
