Public Transportation Providers Celebrate 3rd Annual Kansas Mobility Week with Free Rides on November 7, 2023
In the spirit of the third annual Kansas Mobility Week, OCCK Transportation is set to offer complimentary rides to the general public across all its services, which include CityGo, regional paratransit, GoAbilene, GoConcordia, 81 Connection, and KanConnect, on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
From November 5 to November 11, 2023, public transportation providers, Mobility Managers, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), and collaborative partners throughout the state are coming together to celebrate the third annual Kansas Mobility Week. During this exciting week, various agencies will host a range of events aimed at encouraging Kansans to make efficient and safe transportation choices, promoting multimodal transportation options, and unveiling new initiatives and policies.
OCCK has a tradition of offering free rides on Election Day each year to help increase voter turnout. “We are excited to provide free rides again for Election Day and as a way to celebrate Mobility Week,” said Trell Grinter, Transportation Director for OCCK. “It’s a great opportunity for people to experience public transit and increase their mobility choices.”
