Robert “Bob” Lee Albers Sr.

Robert “Bob” Lee Albers Sr. of Astor, Florida, formerly of Salina, Kansas, passed away September 3, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on November 6, 1938, in Rock Island, IL, to Harry Albers and Anna Sucky.

Bob was always busy in business. As a partner at Bob Albers Const Inc he retired in 1991, he was also a farmer and rancher from 1978 to 2005 retiring to his paradise of Astor, FL. His many businesses and partnerships throughout the years at the Kansas Red Pussy Cat night club, Truck Haven Truck Stop. Eddies Night Club, The Out Post, Laura’s Flea Market in Astor FL, and Numerous Rental Properties kept him busy.

He loved to travel, fish, spend time with his family, and play bingo and Skipbo. His favorite was playing Texas Holdem with his friends in Astor, FL and Salina, KS.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Harry Albers and Anna (Sucky) Albers; son, Robert “Bobby” Albers Jr.; Great grandson, Gavin Brummett; Brothers, Harry and Ronald Albers; sister, Mary Ann Albers Neff; and lifetime friend, Business Partner, and former wife, Lorraine Albers. 

Bob is survived by his daughter, Laurie Debold (Jim) Tescott, KS; Granddaughters, Jennifer Carlson (Justin) Tescott, KS, and Lindsey Burgardt (Austin) Assaria, KS; Grandsons, Rodney Brummett Jr (Niki) Port Orange, FL, Ricky Brummett (Kayte) Meriden, KS, Levi Debold (Emily) Salina, KS., Jason Debold (Hillary) Bennington, KS; 18 great grand kids, numerous nieces and nephews, all his friends in Astor, FL, and Salina, KS, and his best friend, business partner, J &B buds, John Heinen.

Knowing he is no longer in pain and at peace now. Our family will miss him so dearly, as our Legend Of the Dug Out Ranch! The Boss Man!

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 137 N 8th St. Salina, KS.

Burial will take place at a later date.

Memorials can be made to The American Cancer Society in honor of Bob.


D. Yvonne Creech

D. Yvonne Creech, of Salina, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The daughter of Ernest L. Johnson and Muriel B. Woods Johnson, she was born on June 26, 1930, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Creech Sr.; her daughter, Deborah Anne Creech; her parents; her brother, Ernest M. Johnson; and her sister, Shirley A. Valentine. She is survived by her son, Thomas F. Creech Jr., and his wife, Donna, of West Plains, MO; two daughters, Sherry L. Hamilton and her husband, David, of Salina, KS, and Susan B. White of Hutchinson, KS; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Yvonne and Tom were married in Kansas City on December 2, 1951. In 1954, she left her secretarial job to become a full-time mother and homemaker. She enjoyed many crafts, including knitting, crocheting, cake decorating, and tole painting. She loved doting on her children and grandchildren and treasured spending time with them cooking, baking, and working on needlework projects.

Yvonne had a deep faith and love for God, and His love shone through in her devotion to family and those around her. Her home was a safe haven for all of her beloved friends and loved ones. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 137 N. 8th St., Salina, and live-streamed at https://www.livewebcastevents.com/yvonne/. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
