
Jimmie Earl Dorman
Jimmie Earl Dorman, 100, was taken by the Lord from this earth on September 10, 2025. He was born December 7, 1924 to Ralph and Elise (Cornwell) Dorman on the farm north of Haddam, Kansas.
Jimmie graduated from Haddam High in 1943 and was called to the Navy in 1944 where he was sent to Okinawa Japan until the war ended. Upon returning he met and married Marie Wurtz in 1947. They settled in Cloud County to farm and were blessed with nine children. He retired from farming in 1998 and relocated to Canadian, Texas with his second wife, Janet Craig.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elsie Dorman; his wives, Marie and Jan; two sons, Gary and Douglas; along with three brothers, Loren, Sam, and Ronnie; and a sister, Illa Fern.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Bari) Dorman of Burlington, Colorado, Kathy (Greg) Thoman of Jamestown, Kansas, Rita (Craig) Marken of Salina, Loretta (Carl) Meats of Concordia, Kansas, Tim (Susan) Dorman of Burlington, Colorado, Connie Hawkinson of Parker, Colorado, Jamie Dorman of Burlington, Colorado; step-children, Cindy Craig of Portland, Oregon and John (Brandy) Craig of Spring, Texas.
Jimmie was also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 137 N. 8th St.
Graveside services will take place in Lipscomb Cemetery, Lipscomb, Texas.
