Dustin was a man of many passions. He found joy in the outdoors and had so many adventures – hiking, camping, playing rugby and spending time with family and friends. Dustin also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Fross.

β€œCome to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” ~ Matthew 11:28-30

Claire Elizabeth Anderson

Claire Elizabeth Anderson, age 60, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at Salina Regional Health Center of complications due to pancreatic cancer.

Claire, born in Murray, Utah to Carl David and Claire Marie Johnson, grew up in and around the Salt Lake City area. An avid lover of animals, she began grooming dogs in high school. She later attended Utah State University, Northern Oklahoma College, University of Utah, and Oklahoma State University, University of Texas in Arlington where over the course of a decade she obtained a Bachelor's in Journalism.

She met her husband, Norman Prescott "Scott" Anderson, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After their marriage in 1989, the couple moved to Texas where Claire received her Master's in Public Administration and the couple had the two children, Elizabeth and Norman David.

After nearly a decade in Texas, they moved to Nebraska and Colorado before settling in Abilene in 2000. Claire soon began her small dog grooming business. By 2007, she'd expanded and opened Prim and Popper Parlor, a pet boarding and grooming facility. Her love of animals and dedication to her community, including dog safety demonstrations at local schools and her work on the Abilene - Omitama Sister City board, made her a staple in the town she made her home.

Claire was preceded in death by her beloved husband in 2022. She is survived by her son and daughter, as well as her father, sister, Carleen, and brother, Carl David Jr. She is a cherished mother, daughter, sister and wife. She will be missed dearly by her loved ones as well as friends and community that meant so much to her. We will forever be grateful for the time we were allowed to spend with her, even if it was too brief.

A celebration of life will be held at the family's home and Claire's kennel at 1152 Old 40 in Abilene on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10 am. Well behaved pets are welcome to attend.
