Sharon Kaye (Stief) Mullins

Sunday, July 6, 2025, Sharon Kaye (Stief) Mullins is finally home with her Savior, after a brief three-month battle with cancer.

She was born August 8, 1946 in East St. Louis, Illinois and was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis R. Mullins; parents, Robert and Irene Stief; parents-in law, Raymond and Alma Mullins; infant grandchild; brother, Robert Stief; and sisters, Carol Lee Lynch and Patsy Joyce Powell. Sharon had been a resident of Gypsum, Kansas since 1970 when her husband, Dennis, became pastor of Temple Church where they faithfully served the congregation for 50 years.

She is survived by her children, Aaron D. Mullins (Michelle), Eric D. Mullins (Andrea) and Denise K. Mullins; her 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as her brother, Harold (JoEtta) Stief; and sister, Gerri (Geraldine Ann) Gibson.

Sharon worked as Demo Coordinator for Sams Club for 15 years and selflessly, humorously and joyfully served countless young lives in children's church and teaching music at Faith Christian School. She loved people and people loved her though she would promise you that she was a total introvert.

An extraordinary impression was made on all that she met as her quick wit, humility and kindness put everyone at ease. Her thoughts were consistently for others through her very last hours as she always sought to serve rather than to be served by others. Music, cooking, and her love for the Lord encompassed her life as she loved her family and others well by finding and showing God's hand in every aspect of life, cooking everyone's favorites and filling her home with singing and music.

The family requests donations be made to the Sharon Mullins Memorial.

A graveside service, officiated by Rex Howard, will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Church, 9657 S. Amos Road, Gypsum, Kansas 67448.
