Angeline (Anderson) Stevens

Angeline (Anderson) Stevens passed away peacefully January 12, 2025 at Pinnacle Park Nursing Center,

Angie was born on May 4, 1931 in Hope, Kansas to Cecil A. and Gladys (Book) Plank.

She married Glee Anderson on May 6, 1952. They resided on a farm west of Hope until 1972 when they moved into Hope,  In 1996 they relocated to Salina, Kansas where she resided until her death.

Glee passed away September 12, 2005.  She married Eugene Stevens in August of 2006.  He preceded her in death on October of 2017.

Angie spent many years teaching Sunday School classes and she loved to lead Bible studies for any age.  She had recently taught a study at the retirement home where she lived.

Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a constant joy to her and she was very proud of their many accomplishments whether it be through jobs, athletic activities or other interests.

She was preceded in death by; husbands, grandparents, parents, brothers; Gene, Arnold and Thaine Plank; sister Laurel Scott; brother-in-law Bill Scott; sister-in-law Jamie Plank.

Survivors include: Son Darel (Bobbi) Anderson of Hope, Kansas; Daughter Cindy (Brad) Lamer of Salina, KS. Grandchildren: Tami (Kevin) Keller, Tyler Anderson, Brett (Mallory) Lamer, Tanner(Kasey) Anderson. Great grandchildren: Trever and Tysen Keller, Kamryn and Kreyton Anderson, Brecken and Britton Lamer, Kirstin (Collin) Adams and Trenton Keller. Great great granddaughter Bellemy Adams. Brother Arvid Plank of Hope, Kansas; Sister Janet (JR.) Hofmann of Alta Loma, CA ; Brother-in-law Francis (Clema) Anderson of Abilene, Kansas; Sisters-in-law Betty Jo Plank of Emporia, KS and Janice  Plank of Torrance, California. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 137 N. 8th St., Salina. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Salina. Cremation has been chosen and a private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Southeast of Saline Athletics (checks made out to USD 306, and sent to 1416 Lakeview Dr, Salina, Ks 67401) or Rural Vista Athletics Dept (checks sent to 319 N. Main, Hope Ks, 67451.)


Udena Elizabeth McKee

Udena Elizabeth McKee, 89, of Falun, Kan., passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025. She was born on June 19, 1935, in Salina, Kan., to Albert and Hazel (Shelton) Gorrell, and remained a life-time Saline County resident.

Udena was united in marriage to Keith G. McKee on November 4, 1952, in Abilene, Kan. She worked at Tony’s Pizza from 1971-88, before spending the remainder of her career as a foster Grandma. She kept very busy by volunteering at Tacol thrift shop, in Lindsborg, Kan., coaching women’s softball, and caring for her sister Charlotte for many years. On top of her various activities, she worked as a nurse’s aide in many nursing homes in the area.

She was a passionate Royals fan, where she got to throw the first pitch at a game for Foster Grandmother’s Day. She also enjoyed watching the Chiefs as long as the Royals weren’t on at the same time. Udena was a simple woman who enjoyed attending church and reading her bible and when she found time she liked to visit the salon to have her hair done.

Udena’s passion in life was found when she became a foster grandma. Often when she was out little children would come up to her and say “grandma!” and she would greet them with a warm hug. She was a caring person who made a loving and positive impact on many of these children.

Survivors include her children, Allan McKee and wife Cheryl of Erie, Kan., Elizabeth Kibler and husband Dennis of Falun, and Darrell McKee and wife Lola of Culver, Kan.; grandchildren, Travis McKee (Amanda), Amy McKee, Brian McKee, Denny Kibler Jr. (Cathy), Christopher Kibler (Jennifer), Chad Kibler (Hilary), Robbie Bergman, J.R. Bergman (Stacey), Dale Hays (Mary), and Kelly Winslow (Kurby); great grandchildren, Josh Kibler, Caden Kibler, Cael Kibler, Tessa McKee, Kay McKee; and great-great grandchild, T.J. McKee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 41 years, Keith; daughter, Linda Holt; two infant brothers; and her sisters, Alberta Savoy, Freda Harbaugh, Charlotte Ashton.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 137 N. 8th St, Salina, KS 67401, from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6-8. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 17, at 10 a.m. at New Community Christian Church, 530 E. Cloud St. Salina, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina.

Memorial donations may be made in Udena’s honor to New Community Christian Church, care of the church.


Marion Robert “Bob” Davis

Marion Robert “Bob” Davis, 75, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025.

Bob was born in Salina, Kansas on March 9, 1949, to Maybelle Aills and Marion Davis.

In Bob’s free time he loved to fish, hunt, and be at the lake.

Survivors include his wife, Debi Davis; sons, Robert Davis (Jennifer), Kyle Davis, Marty Miller (Michelle), Donovan Miller; sisters, Katie Holcom (Melvin), Ginger Hewitt (Rick), and brother Richard Searle (Sara).

Grandchildren, Codi Miller (Rachel), Kerry Miller, Kyla Miller, Collin Miller, Braden Trimble (Lyndsey), Caleb Miller (Brittney), Chris Davis, Benjamin Davis, Cheyenne Davis; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Miller, Addy Rose Miller, Percy Jenkins, Maddy Trimble, Aria Miller, Kohen Miller, and Skylar Trimble.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jo Davis, Shirley Kibler, and Anita Bogart.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday, January 20, at 500 S. Ohio St.

The family requests donations to Tammy Walker Cancer Center.
