Mary Patricia Crawford Wood
Mary Patricia Crawford Wood, 68, of Salina, Kansas passed away on November 25, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. Mary Pat was born on December 4, 1956 and was the daughter of Joseph and Rosemary Crawford.
Graduating from Sacred Heart High School in 1974, Mary Pat went on to Marymount College from which she graduated in 1979 with a B.A. in Elementary Education.
Mary Pat was a kindergarten teacher in the Salina public school system for 28 years and considered her many students to be part of her family. She absolutely loved being a kindergarten teacher.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mary Pat is survived by her daughters Katie Wood (John McNish), Kelly (Tyler) Baker, both of Topeka, KS and her son Andrew, Salina, KS, as well as granddaughters Penny and Sunny Baker and Mayce McNish of Topeka, KS. Brothers Bill (Kay) Crawford, Hilton Head Island, SC, Mark Crawford of Salina, KS and sister Ann Crawford, Woodward, OK.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church,230 East Cloud Street, Salina, KS. A reception for family and friends will take place in the Parish Family Center following the service: a light lunch will be served. The burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery following the reception and will be limited to immediate family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Pat’s name to the Salina Education Foundation, 1511 Gypsum, P.O. Box 797, Salina, KS 67402-0797.
