
Royal A. Hohl
Royal A. Hohl, 85, of Salina passed away on December 21, 2025. Royal was born on April 19, 1940, in Marquette, Kansas to Stanley and Vera (Morrow) Hohl. After graduating from high school, Royal joined the Navy Sea Bees, graduating at the top of his class. He was stationed in Rota Spain for the term of his service. Once he returned to the states, he remained in the Marquette and Salina area near his family. He eventually got a job with Westinghouse/Philips Lighting in Salina. There he met his wife Betty who he married on August 11, 1977. They welcomed their daughter, Denise, the following May. Along with working at Philips Lighting for over 30 years, he was a reserve deputy with the Saline County Sheriff's department. Royal enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Royal is preceded in death by his wife Betty; his parents; sister, Norma; and a brother, Russell.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise and granddaughter Katie and many other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 4 from 1-3 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina. This will be a come and go to pay respects and share any stories of Royal.
