Timothy Roy Killingsworth

Timothy Roy Killingsworth passed away surrounded by his family Tuesday December 9th 2025.

Tim was born January 23 1954 in Ellinwood Kansas. And even though his parents Margaret and Roy moved to multiple places during his early childhood he always considered BushtonKansas his home town.

Tim graduated from Bushton High School in 1972 and until the day he passed he had lasting meaningful friendships with many of his classmates.

He started off his career path working at CO-OPs, and later would spend a majority of his work life as a mechanic working on either large engines or in the pipeline industry.

On January 22 1983 Tim married Marcia Kay Bendel in Bushton, KS.

In 1984 he became a father welcoming home twins Tony and Traci. In 1989 Tim became a father for a third time with the birth of Tara.

Traci and her husband Cory Steinert made Tim a grandfather in 2012, with the birth of his granddaughter Hadley Kay Steinert and in 2018, with the birth of grandson Hudson Carl Steinert.

Tim was a long-time member of the Sons of the American Legion for Holmes-Anderson-Foster Post 241 and the Geneseo United Methodist Church.

In March of 2019 Tim retired and enjoyed spending his free time traveling with his wife Kay and friends to casinos, cheering on his Wildcats, and visiting his grand babies in Texas. But probably where he spent most of his time was sitting in the garage with Leon, the history channel, and a full kegerator of beer.

He was proceeded in death by his Parents and sisters Kathryn Phillips and Sharon Habiger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Geneseo SAL Post 241.
