The Salina City Commission unanimously approved the purchase and installation of new playgrounds for two city parks during their July 28, 2025 meeting.
The commission voted 5-0 to award a bid to All-Inclusive Rec for a playground at Kenwood Park in the amount of $47,000. In a separate vote, they also approved a bid to the same company for a playground at Bill Burke Park costing $150,000.
Both items were part of the consent agenda, which includes routine matters that commissioners typically approve without individual discussion. No comments were made by commissioners or members of the public regarding the playground projects before the vote.
