Local Brewery Owner Brings His Fab Four Picks to a National Audience
SALINA, KS — Monte Shadwick, Saline County Commissioner, a well-known face in downtown Salina and owner of Blue Skye Brewery & Eats, just checked a major item off his bucket list: guest DJing on My Fab Four, a popular segment on SiriusXM’s Beatles Channel (Channel 18).
Shadwick took to social media with excitement, stating:
“My life is now complete! I’ve been a guest DJ on My Fab Four on SiriusXM The Beatles Channel. I’ve included a link if you’d like to hear it.”
My Fab Four gives fans from around the country a chance to curate and discuss their four favorite Beatles songs, something Shadwick, a longtime Beatles enthusiast, embraced with the same passion he brings to craft brewing.
As the owner of Blue Skye Brewery, Salina’s only microbrewery, Shadwick has been a key part of downtown’s revitalization since opening the business in 2013. Known for its wood-fired pizzas, rotating beer selection, and community vibe, Blue Skye has become a local staple—and now, its founder has added “guest DJ” to his list of accomplishments.
While his playlist hasn’t been officially released, fans can tune in to The Beatles Channel on SiriusXM or CLICK HERE for it.
Whether behind the bar or behind the mic, Monte Shadwick is proving once again that local voices can make it all the way to the national stage, one Beatles track at a time.
