It is with great honor that Mike Finnigan's family and the Stiefel Theatre announce the opening of The Mike Finnigan School of Music at the Stiefel Theatre in Salina, Kansas.
Mike Finnigan was a beloved musician, often called the "musician's musician." He loved music, was passionate about education, loved playing at the Stiefel, and loved Kansas. We are so grateful that we will be able to celebrate all these things that Mike loved at this new school named in his honor.
Classes will begin late fall 2021.
Group music lessons for children and adults will be taught in: piano, organ, guitar, mandolin, ukulele, violin, horns, and voice. Also, music reading and how to belong to a band will be taught as well.
All classes will be taught by talented musicians and teachers from the region. Children will have unique opportunities to participate in summer camps, attend concerts, and learn about performances at the theatre.
Scholarships will also be available. A full class schedule and sign-up forms will be available on the Stiefel website soon.
