In the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 19, at 6:45 am, emergency personnel responded to the 300 block of S Ohio in response to a vehicle accident. The involved vehicle, a 2012 Ford Fusion, was being operated by a 36-year-old resident of Salina, heading south on Ohio. The vehicle veered off the road, plowed through a fence, and collided with a residence in the 1100 block of Stack. The impact also struck an Evergy pole, causing the connected wire to disengage from two nearby homes. Investigations revealed that the driver experienced a medical episode, resulting in both the accident and an ankle injury.
