Man Arrested for Vehicle and Alcohol Theft After Naked Hotel Incident
On May 27 at 2:45 pm, a vehicle theft occurred at Cave Divers, 1103 West Crawford Street. A 36-year-old male victim left his black 2004 Mustang running outside while inside the store.
Marcellius Garner, 31, of Salina, was seen inside the store asking patrons to buy alcohol for him and subsequently stealing a 375ml bottle of Don Julio tequila. Garner then walked out of the store and stole the Mustang.
Police later found the vehicle in Maggie Mae's parking lot. At around 7:00 pm, officers were dispatched to the Ambassy Hotel for reports of a naked man running around. They found Garner in his room with the stolen tequila bottle. Garner confessed and faces charges of felony theft, misdemeanor theft, and lewd and lascivious behavior.
