On the evening of August 8, 2024, at approximately 9:20 pm, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Noble Court in response to a domestic disturbance. A 49-year-old female was involved in an altercation with Sean Carrico, 42, of Salina, with whom she has a relationship.
Carrico reportedly punched the woman multiple times in the face and strangled her. Despite visible injuries, she refused medical treatment at the scene. When police arrived and attempted to take Carrico into custody, he resisted and tried to pull away from officers as they escorted him to the vehicle.
Carrico was arrested, and charges of aggravated domestic battery and interference with law enforcement are being requested.
