Man Arrested After Vehicle Accident in North Salina

On Wednesday, November 8, at 11:48 pm, officers responded to a vehicle accident in the area of Bishop and College. A 2015 silver Nissan Versa, operated by 37-year-old Thomas Heming, was reportedly traveling westbound on Bishop. The driver allegedly failed to negotiate the turn onto College, veering off the road on the west side and colliding with a metal post safeguarding an air conditioning unit in the 1000 block of W Elm. The impact rendered the vehicle inoperable. Heming was arrested on the requested charges of DUI, no seatbelt, speeding, and improper driving on laned roadway
