Funding has been approved for the Lee Warehouse Lofts in downtown Salina, the third and final phase of the historic Lee Building complex redevelopment.
The project, led by Overland Property Group, will convert the warehouse into 37 loft-style apartments, a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Construction is expected to begin in late 2025 or early 2026, pending historic approvals and local permits.
The redevelopment follows earlier phases that transformed the H.D. Lee Mercantile Lofts and the Lee Hardware Lofts into residential spaces. With Phase 3, the Lee Building complex will be fully restored, preserving its historic character while adding new housing options.
Architects, engineers, consultants and contractors are advancing design and permitting work, with further details expected as the project moves closer to groundbreaking.
