In a harrowing incident that transpired on Wednesday, November 29, at 2:34 pm, emergency dispatch received distress calls from a 36-year-old female victim. The woman, who was a passenger in a vehicle with her significant other, reported being subjected to physical abuse and being forcibly confined within the moving vehicle.
Allegedly, the victim dialed 9-1-1 four times, providing crucial updates on her location and detailing an escalating argument within the vehicle. Despite her desperate attempts to exit, the male companion allegedly prevented her from doing so, resorting to physical violence. Shockingly, he seized her by the hair, forcefully pulled her onto his lap, and delivered a blow to the side of her head. Furthermore, the assailant confiscated her phone, hindering her from seeking help.
The distressing ordeal finally came to an end when the victim was allowed to exit the vehicle at the intersection of I-135 and State St. Officers are actively searching for the 36-year-old male suspect involved in this alarming incident.
